While most of volunteer opportunities are during daytime/business hours, we do host events in the evening and on weekends for certain occasions. Special arrangements and training may apply to these events.
Will I be provided volunteer education and training?
Yes. North Country Ministry is committed to providing our volunteers with current and updated information. We will present topics to improve the quality of your volunteer experience through quarterly meetings and trainings. You will be taught a wealth of knowledge including local resources, requirements for third party agencies and programs, confidentiality training and personal safety techniques. We will also keep you up to date on our own programs and services.
Can I voice concerns and offer input on program functions?
Yes. Apart of our regular meetings, we allow our volunteers to voice their concerns, questions and experiences with other members of our staff. We also offer more confidential methods of meeting with our volunteers if requested.
