JOB TITLE: Director of Maintenance FLSA: Full Time Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
The Director of Maintenance offers a range of assistance and management for North Country Ministry’s various programs. Such responsibilities include managing buildings and grounds care, ensuring the safe operation of facilities and programs, coordinating program functions, completing maintenance projects, and assisting with other aspects affecting program operations.

Position Type:
- Full-Time Hourly (Winter hours based on weather)
- $20 an Hour for 40 Hours a Week
- Hours flexible around operation: Monday through Friday: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm

Qualifications:
- Valid NYS Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Physically capable of frequent, heavy lifting
- Capable of performing labor for long periods of time
- Ability to solve problems and complete tasks independently or within a team

- Part-Time Maintenance Assistant
Maintenance Duties:
- Safely operate and maintain motor vehicles for related programs and operations
- Box Truck
- Plow Truck
- Sprinter Van
- Maintain and groom NCM facilities routinely (including but not limited to plowing/snow removal, lawn care, and other upkeep as necessary)
- 3933 Main Street, Warrensburg
- 148 Tannery Road, Brant Lake
- 2 Stewart Farrar, Warrensburg
- Safely operate and maintain NCM’s equipment
- Manage and schedule security and fire safety inspections with the County
- Uphold high standards for preventative maintenance and safety
- Manage the repair of maintenance needed for all buildings, grounds, and equipment
- Provide safety training for our vehicles with employees and volunteers as needed
Program Support:
- Coordinate/schedule with donors regarding furniture for the Furniture Program
- Stock and organize donated furniture and items in the Furniture Program
- Assist Caseworkers with emergency client needs through the various programs
- Receive food orders, donations, and rotate and stock food items for all NCM Food Pantries
- To include Regional Orders and Store Donations
- Rotate and organize the stored clothing totes in the Clothing Center
- Coordinate pick up of large Giving Tree (Christmas Program) donations
- Assist in Holiday Programs
- Persons performing service in this position may exert over 50 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Must have an adequate range of motion in the upper and lower extremities
- This work involves sitting, standing, and driving for variable periods
- Exposure to hot, cold, wet, or windy conditions caused by weather is to be expected
Evaluation:
- Performance of this position is to be evaluated at minimum on an annual basis and may be completed on a more frequent basis as determined by the Executive Director.
