Many people have contributed to the mission of North Country Ministry throughout the years. Our dedicated and diverse family has included volunteers, employees, board members, committee chairs, donors, churches, affiliates, and many other members of our community.

The following is a commemoration to those who have passed on, and to acknowledge the Hand of Hope they each gave to their community.

Joseph L. Porco

b. June 18, 1931, d. December 8, 2021

Served 14 Years with NCM

Joe volunteered in our Gathering Place in Warrensburg, cooking warm meals and making good conversation He spoke often of his time as a singer and working with Frank Sinatra. He donated recorded CDs to NCM to sell for charity.

Marie “Margaret” Mulcahy

b. May 8, 1938, d. September 1, 2021

Served 14 Years with NCM

Margaret volunteered in our Clothing Center.

Margaret Ann “Peggy” O’Donnell Ryan

b. March 30, 1936 d. August 14, 2021

Served 11 Years with NCM

Peggy was a dedicated volunteer in our Clothing Center. She also helped organize our annual gala. Those who knew her, remember her motivation to help and friendly smile.

Joseph Purcell

b. October 9, 1936 d. June 21, 2021

Served 6 Years with NCM

Joe served on our Board of Directors and provided volunteer service from 2008 until 2014.

Debra Schommer-Hoag

b. June 8, 1953 d. June 3, 2021

Served 5 Years with NCM

Debbie served on both our Gala and Volunteer Committees. She was also a cheerful presence as a volunteer for our Clothing Center.

Francis R. Buehler

b. February 17, 1930 d. March 10, 2021

Frank served as a devoted volunteer for our Annual Golf Tournament.

Stephen Parisi

b. February 17, 1939 d. December 19, 2020

Steve served on our Gala Committee.

Jeanette P. Stone

b. October 27, 1940 d. June 18, 2019

Served 10+ Years with NCM

Jeannie was a friendly and hardworking volunteer for our Clothing Center.

Patricia Ann Williams Catone

b. March 17, 1948 d. March 21, 2018

Served 3 Years with NCM

Trish volunteered for our Clothing Center.

Mary ‘Joan’ Ide

b. May 14, 1933 d. September 25, 2014

Mary was a volunteer for our Clothing Center.

Brenda J. Beadnell

b. March 27, 1942 d. July 9, 2014

Brenda was a hospice volunteer, as well as a volunteer for our Clothing Center.

Mary Brady, RSCJ

b. April 4, 1926 d. May 4, 2013

Served 21 Years with NCM

Sister Mary was a co-founder of North Country Ministry.
