Kayla joined NCM in January 2022. She is experienced in event planning, development, fundraising, and non-profit management. Before joining North County Ministry as their Executive Director, Kayla worked with the Family YMCA of the Glens Falls Area as their Campaign & Events Director for four years. At the Y, she coordinated many fundraising efforts, which included an Annual Meeting, Golf Tournament, and multiple fundraising campaigns annually.  Kayla is excited to serve her community as she was born and raised in Chestertown, is a graduate from North Warren. She owns a home in Brant Lake with her husband and two dogs, Oakley and Blair, who can often be found at the office. Kayla is passionate about giving back to a community that contributed so much to her upbringing and who she is today.


Rebecca Bammert

Rebecca has been the caseworker at the Warrensburg Center since 2012. As an alumni of Warrensburg School and SUNY Adirondack, she is devoted to helping her community. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Castleton University in Sociology and has over ten years of experience in the field of social work. Her passion lies on the local community theater stage, acting and singing. She also participates in comic conventions, promoting her own anti-bullying comic, Lonely Girl.


Erin Fritz

Erin is a former school counselor from Philadelphia who traded city life for the peaceful surroundings of the Adirondacks. With a deep commitment to compassion and service, Erin is grateful for the opportunity to work as a caseworker for a nonprofit organization, supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges.

Whether in schools or the community, her work has always centered on empathy, listening, and helping people feel seen and supported. Outside of work, she finds balance in nature, family time, and the calm of home—reminders of the simple joys that ground us every day.


Stephanie Batten
Southern Essex Community Caseworker

Stephanie has lived in Essex County for the past four and a half years. Before joining North Country Ministry, she worked as a Home Visitor for ACAP Early Head Start, supporting children and families through one-on-one engagement. With over 30 years of experience in the childcare field, Stephanie brings a deep commitment to nurturing and family-centered work. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Oklahoma State University. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, attending concerts, and exploring her passion for photography.


Jeff Barnett

Jeff grew up in Southern California, attended Montana State University in Bozeman, and now calls Minerva home. He brings a diverse background to the team, with experience in construction, restaurant ownership and management, and many years as a food service sales consultant. Jeff enjoys camping, riding ATVs and snowmobiles, remodeling homes, and restoring classic cars. In addition to being a valued member of the NCM team, he is also a licensed Home Inspector.

Chris is the newest member of the North Country team, joining in July 2023. Having moved to the Adirondacks from his home state of West Virginia, he brings with him over 10 years of experience in ministry. Chris is both a graduate of the Word of Life Bible Institute and Liberty University, where he received a Bachelor’s in Religious Studies. In addition to his role here, Chris also serves as Pastor of Stony Creek Community Church.

Dariyn joined North Country Ministry in February of 2025, where she helps support operations and keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes. She also serves as a secretary at St. Cecilia’s Church, a role she’s proudly held for several years. Dariyn has a friendly, compassionate nature and her love of helping others. She enjoys being part of a community where she can make a positive difference every day.


Gary Plansker
Part-Time Maintenance Staff

Gary has been a team member of NCM since the summer of 2018 as a part-time employee at our ALUs, then transitioned into a fulltime role from December 2022 to April 2024, and he is still with us in a part-time position. He uses his expert skill set to keep our program locations and facilities tidy and in working order. He also supports the operations of our Food Pantries, Clothing Center, and Furniture Program.
